ज़िन्दगी सिर्फ धडकनों का नाम नहीं है
ज़िन्दगी एक खुशनुमा राह है , मुकाम नहीं है!
गर चले दो कदम, दोस्त मिलेंगे,
कुछ गुम हुई यादों से, कुछ नए बनेंगे
कहीं बच्चे मुस्कुराएँगे, कहीं फूल खिलखिलाएंगे,
कहीं यूँ ही पत्तियों से लटके जाल में उलझ जाएँगे
कहीं किताबों के पन्नों में कुछ पल सुस्ता लेंगे
तो कहीं मुंडेर पर बैठे पक्षी से बतिया लेंगे
तब कहीं ज़िन्दगी की गहराई हम तक
पहुंचेगी धीरे से, और कहेगी,
